Service Learning

Service Learning is an important part of our learning model. ANYONE, young or old, rich or poor, always has something to give back to the community. There are many families who would like to incorporate service learning into their children's lives, but their own or their children's lives are too busy to identify opportunities, let alone  incorporating this into their lives.  What I have learned is that you need to set aside dedicated time to do so.

Here is what your child will get out of this experience:

• Learn to be thankful for what he/she has and that there are others less fortunate than themselves

• Humility

• Satisfaction in giving time or money for the sake of helping others

• How to incorporate giving into their lives and learning how to spread this message to the community

Here, at RISE, we provide you with a safe environment for your child to give back and build empathy. All money paid for these classes will go towards charity.  If your school recognizes volunteer hours, RISE can provide you with a letter about the number of hours you volunteered for documentation purposes.
